Connect With Us

Let’s get the ball rolling! Get in touch with Fangting Photography to book your newborn photo session. For newborn sessions, please contact us before your baby arrives – ideally at the start of your third trimester. This allows us to reserve space in our calendar based on your due date. When your baby arrives, contact us to set the date for your photo shoot.

The Consultation

When your booking is reserved, we’ll meet with you to plan all the exciting details of your newborn photo shoot. We’ll discuss color schemes and styles you love. We’ll also discuss the portraits that you’ll be in with your baby, and whether you want to include your other children in these portraits, so you can have outfits ready to go.

The Photo Shoot

Congratulations on your new bundle of joy! Thanks to the pre-session consultation, we already have the details ready so all you have to do is bring your baby and any items we discussed in your consultation. You can enjoy much-needed relaxation throughout the session as we take care of everything.

The Final Images

A week or two after your photo shoot, we’ll be ready to show off your gorgeous newborn photos. You’ll meet with us to see and choose your favorite portraits. We’ll also help you design and order any custom artwork to display these special portraits so you don’t have to add anything else to your to-do list.

WHEN IS THE RIGHT TIME TO BOOK MY SESSION?

For newborn photography, reach out to book your session a few months before your baby is due. We’ll reserve space in our calendar, the after your baby is born, we can set a specific date for your session. Of course, if its a bit last minute feel free to contact us and we can always try to squeeze you in.

how soon do i come after my baby arrives?

Newborn photo sessions typically take place 7-14 days after birth. When your baby is born, contact us to set a date for the session you pre-booked during your pregnancy.

HOW LONG WILL THE SESSION LAST?

Newborn session have NO TIME LIMIT. We know baby needs time for feedings, soothing to sleep, and other breaks. We want baby and family to be comfortable and not rushed. This way we all have a more relaxed and fun time. Typically, we expect newborn sessions to last 2-5 hours.

HOW MANY OUTFITS DO I NEED TO BRING FOR BABY?

Not to worry, we have an abundant client closet filled with everything we’ll need for your baby – outfits, wraps, accessories, props, you name it. If you have outfits of your own that you like, personally important items or anything of cultural significance of course feel free to bring and we’ll create great photos with what you bring. We’ve had clients bring in wedding rings, favorite guitar or the sari worn at the wedding. Bring what you like and let us be creative with it.

what should parents/siblings wear?

We typically recommend keeping your wardrobe simple and timeless. In your consultation, we’ll discuss outfit recommendations that will suit your style and look great. If you want to bring your favorite team jersey or cultural attire we definitely love that too. Don’t forget to bring an extra outfit for each person in case of baby gets messy!
